74 years strong...and growing

- I’m a 74-year old American Irish Brooklynite. I like EVERYTHING about Brooklyn. It’s my home. I’ve lived in the same apartment since 1948. I decided to take classes at my local library to learn how to use the Internet. Born in Brooklyn in 1935, my parents headed back to Ireland before the war. I grew up in a small county called Tyrone on a farm. I loved the animals, especially my horse Billy. In 1948, we returned to America because that was the place to be. I’m a strong supporter of education. When deciding to go to college, a male coworker told me, “You’ll never make it.” This incensed me and spurred me on! I attended Hunter College and received my BA in English, and then went to Fordham to get my MSW/CSW. By the way, I made it Mr. Morgese! My favorite expression is “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” My favorite foods are potatoes, onions and egg creams. *Theresa still lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn; is trying new things like waffle fries and listening to Kelly Clarkson; and will not leave unless the clay or government officials intervene.
